PUBLIC TRANSIT NOTICE - Route A - Effective Friday, January 5, 2018, the stop at Madera Road and Los Angeles Avenue will be closed until further notice due to construction. Passengers may use the stop at Bonita Drive and Madera Road or the stop at Simi Village Drive and Los Angeles Avenue.
PUBLIC TRANSIT NOTICE - Route A - Effective immediately, the stop at Ralston Avenue and Cochran Street, will be closed until further notice due to construction. This same construction is creating intermittent closures at the stop at Tapo Street and Cochran Street. Passengers may use the stop at Eve Road.
PUBLIC TRANSIT NOTICE - Route B - Effective immediately, the stop at Fig and Cochran Street, will be closed until further notice due to construction. Passengers may use the stop at Kadota Avenue or the stop at Apricot Road.
Simi Valley Transit's ADA/DAR and fixed-route bus services are provided Monday through Saturday from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Simi Valley Transit (SVT) has provided quality fixed-route bus and Americans with Disabilities Act Paratransit/Dial-A-Ride (ADA/DAR) services throughout Simi Valley for 40 years. A professionally trained, customer-oriented staff places an emphasis on the delivery of safe, low-cost, high-quality transportation services for the traveling public. The City also offers CONNECT InterCity Service, for regional Americans with Disabilities Act Paratransit/Dial-A-Ride service.

Simi Valley Transit has a 40-year history of providing quality transportation services to our residents and visitors. As we look forward to the future of Simi Valley Transit, the City of Simi Valley will also be developing a Short Range Transit Plan and will be performing community outreach to receive feedback and ideas for enhancing service delivery over the next year.
The City of Simi Valley's fixed-route bus service provides connections with Los Angeles County’s METRO in the San Fernando Valley community of Chatsworth. Transportation to communities within Ventura County is made possible through connections with the Ventura County VCTC-East County at the Simi Valley Town Center Mall. Riders may pay in cash only for single trips when they board the bus. Drivers are unable to give change. Daily, monthly, and discounted bulk ride passes may be purchased at City Hall and at most middle and senior high schools. Only certified service animals, or animals confined in an approved animal carrier, are allowed on SVT vehicles. All SVT buses are equipped with bike racks. Seniors and individuals with disabilities are encouraged to utilize the City's fixed-route bus system. The fleet is ADA-accessible, with all busses equipped with ramps and wheelchair accessible seating. Reduced fares (half price) are available for seniors age 65 and older, individuals with an ADA-certified disability, and/or Medicare Card Holders. Americans with Disabilities Act/Dial-A-Ride Service within Simi Valley
Americans with Disabilities Act/Dial-A-Ride services (ADA/DAR) are shared ride services provided within Simi Valley on an "origin to destination" basis to individuals with special needs who are ADA certified and to seniors aged 65 and over. ADA-certified individuals may request "door-to-door" service at the time they book their ride.
Eligibility requirements for ADA/DAR service fall into two categories. Individuals with disabilities, of any age, must be certified as meeting ADA eligibility requirements. Individuals seeking ADA certification should contact Mobility Management Partners (MMP) at (888) 667-7001 to complete and application. An ADA Application must be on file with MMP prior to making appointments for ADA services. Individuals aged 65 and over qualify for Dial-A-Ride transportation as seniors. Exact fare, cash only, is required on Simi Valley Transit's ADA/DAR service. ADA-certified passengers must pay a required fare of $2.00 for each one-way trip. No additional fee is charged for a Personal Care Attendant whose ADA-certification includes approval for a Personal Care Attendant. A non ADA-certified Personal Care Attendants or companion/guest passengers must pay a required fare of $2.00 for each one-way trip. ADA/DAR passes may also be purchases in booklets of ten (10) passes for $20.00.

CONNECT InterCity Regional ADA/Dial-A-Ride Service
Senior passengers ages 65 and above, and passengers certified under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may now travel throughout most of eastern Ventura County without having to transfer between transit providers. CONNECT InterCity service costs $5.00 each way, and will transport passengers to Moorpark, Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks, and Camarillo, as well as nearby unincorporated areas, such as Newbury Park and Santa Susana Knolls. CONNECT InterCity also connects to western Ventura County through a transfer to Gold Coast Transit and provides connections to Chatsworth through Simi Valley Transit.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Paratransit Advisory Committee
The Simi Valley Transit Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Paratransit Advisory Committee consists of seven individuals who hold quarterly public meetings to review and discuss ADA Paratransit issues such as service policies, service availability, accessibility, safety, and training. If you are interested in serving on the Committee or attending a meeting, or if you require additional information, please call (805) 583-6464.
Applications are being accepted to fill six positions on the City of Simi Valley's Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Paratransit Advisory Committee. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, and meet one of the following: Have an ADA-certified disability, or regularly use the City's ADA Paratransit/Dial-A-Ride service, live in a household with an individual who is a regular user of the City's ADA Paratransit/Dial-A-Ride service, or are actively associated with a public or private agency providing services to the disabled. Successful applicants will be appointed by the City Council to serve a two-year term beginning May 2018.
Serving as an advisory board to the City Council, the seven-member ADA Paratransit Advisory Committee meets quarterly to review public Paratransit issues affecting individuals with disabilities, typically the 3rd Thursday of the month, 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m..

Citizen's Transportation Advisory Committee
Citizen's Transportation Advisory Committee (CTAC) serves as an advisory panel to Ventura County Transportation Committee. The Committee includes two non-elected members from each city and Ventura County, two at-large members, and one representative each from Camarillo Health Care District, Commission on Human Concerns, Developmental Disability, St. John’s Medical Center, Public Social Services Agency, and VCTC (as the Consolidated Transportation Services Agency/CTSA).
