Department of Community ServicesSenior Center Meal Programs - (805) 583-6363
The Senior Center offers three meal programs:
The Meals On Wheels (MOW) program provides a hot, nutritious noontime meal Monday through Friday to homebound seniors who have difficulty preparing a meal themselves and have no one to prepare it for them. Friendly volunteer Meals On Wheels drivers deliver the meals right to the client’s door. Often these volunteers are the only people the MOW recipients see on a daily basis. See the MOW brochure for more information.
The Senior Center’s congregate meal program is affectionately known as the Rendezvous Café. This program provides a delicious hot meal on weekdays for a suggested donation of $3.00 for seniors 60 years and up and a $6.75 fee for all others. Entertainment is provided several times a week and it is not unusual to see a full dance floor. Call 583-6363 for questions.
Senior Share Program
The Senior Share Program (formerly known as Brown Bag) provides a weekly bag of groceries for eligible seniors. Bags are distributed at the Simi Valley Senior Center on Tuesday mornings. Call (805) 583-6363 for updated eligibility requirements.
