Department of Community ServicesSenior Center Meal Programs - (805) 583-6363
The Senior Center offers three meal programs:
The Meals-On-Wheels (MOW) program provides a hot, nutritious noontime meal Monday through Friday to homebound seniors who have difficulty preparing a meal themselves and have no one to prepare it for them. Friendly volunteer Meals-On-Wheels drivers deliver the meals right to the client’s door. Often these volunteers are the only people the MOW recipients see on a daily basis. See the MOW brochure for more information.
The Senior Center’s congregate meal program is affectionately known as the Rendezvous Café. This program provides a delicious hot meal on weekdays for a suggested donation of $3.00 for seniors 60 years and up and a $6.75 fee for all others. Entertainment is provided several times a week and it is not unusual to see a full dance floor. Call 583-6363 for questions.
Senior Share Program
The Senior Share Program (formerly known as Brown Bag) provides a weekly bag of groceries for eligible seniors. Bags are distributed at the Simi Valley Senior Center on Tuesday mornings. Call (805) 583-6363 for updated eligibility requirements.
